As of November, almost 80% of Ukrainian educational institutions have shelters, and UAH 1.5 billion was spent on civil defense facilities this year, with UAH 2.5 billion planned for next year.
As of November, almost 80% of Ukrainian educational institutions are provided with shelters, Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said at a government meeting, UNN reports .

According to him, this year a total of UAH 1.5 billion in subventions was allocated for shelters. And next year, UAH 2.5 billion is envisaged.
According to Shmyhal, first of all, it is necessary to provide appropriate conditions for children's education in the frontline regions so that as many students as possible can study full-time.
The meeting also discussed the organization of a safe environment in educational institutions. This includes police protection, alarms and metal detectors. The Prime Minister reminded that this year the relevant Concept of Security of Educational Institutions was approved.
In addition, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Infrastructure, the Ministry of Finance, together with the DIA, were reportedly instructed to ensure the implementation of projects for the construction and reconstruction of shelters in educational institutions at the expense of the relevant subvention from the state budget.
