Alanakosmetiks: from the kitchen to the international market - the path of success in Brovary
Kyiv • UNN
Tetyana Milshyna from Brovary created the natural cosmetics brand Alanakosmetiks, which has grown from a home hobby to large-scale production. With the support of U&We Hub and grants, the business serves customers all over Ukraine and plans to enter the international market.
Brovary has long established itself as a city that actively supports business development. The local authorities place special emphasis on creating comfortable conditions for young entrepreneurs and businesswomen. For this purpose, the U&We Hub was founded, a hub that has become a platform for training, consultations, and inspiration. The hub organizes educational programs, marketing, finance, and business management consultations that help develop ideas and put them into practice. One of those who took advantage of these opportunities is Tetiana Milshyna, founder of the cosmetics brand Alanakosmetiks. Her story is an example of how community support and personal initiative can lead to success even in difficult times, UNN writes.
A hobby that turned into a dream business
The story of Alanakosmetiks began 10 years ago when Tatiana Milshyna was looking for a way to escape from her difficult life circumstances. Her child with a disability required a lot of attention, and she spent a lot of time in hospitals. "I was looking for an outlet - something to inspire me. That's how I started creating cosmetics at home," recalls Tetiana Milshyna.
Gradually, her hobby turned into a life's work. She began to study, expand her knowledge and improve her technique. Over time, production moved from the home kitchen to a small office in Brovary. However, the real impetus for scaling the business came after she returned from evacuation in 2022. That's when Tetiana Milshyna received a grant, hired a team, and launched large-scale production.
Hub support and opportunities for entrepreneurs
"U&We Hub is a place that helps you unlock your potential. I received advice on marketing, finance, and even advertising there. Highly qualified specialists work there, who really understand the needs of entrepreneurs," said Tetyana Milshyna.
In addition to educational programs, the hub provides entrepreneurs with networking opportunities, helps them find partners, and creates a community of like-minded people. All of this helped the entrepreneur scale Alanakosmetiks and expand its product range.
Today, Alanakosmetiks is not only care cosmetics for women 35+, but also products for children, teenagers, men, as well as special hygiene products for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
"We create natural-based cosmetics using modern active ingredients such as ceramides and acids. Our products are not inferior in quality to luxury cosmetics of well-known European brands," says the brand owner. According to her, her cosmetics contain the same ingredients as luxury cosmetics. The production is fully autonomous, with its own equipment and high quality standards.
Currently, the customer base of Alanakosmetiks includes about two thousand people. Orders come not only from Brovary, but also from all over Ukraine and even from abroad. "We have a physical store in Brovary, but most orders come online. We ship products to any corner of Ukraine and abroad," says Tetiana Milshyna.
The brand is planning to open a new store in Kyiv and enter the international market, and for this purpose, she plans to receive another grant. "We want to try exporting, because there are many customers abroad who want to buy our products," she adds.
Brovary - a space for development
The story of Alanakosmetiks is an example of how Brovary creates conditions for successful business. The support of local authorities, access to grants and educational programs allow entrepreneurs to realize their ideas and contribute to the development of the community.
Brovary remains a city of opportunities that inspires the creation of businesses that change people's lives and demonstrate the potential of Ukrainian entrepreneurship.
