About 5,000 employees of Zaporizhzhya NPP have been evacuated to the government-controlled territory. They are to be used to complete the construction of power units at Khmelnytsky NPP, Energy Minister Herman Galushchenko said.

As of today, about 5,000 people have been evacuated from Zaporizhzhya NPP and are now in the territory controlled by Ukraine. These personnel are planned to be used to complete the units at Khmelnytsky NPP. This was announced by Energy Minister Herman Galushchenko during an hour of questions to the government in the Verkhovna Rada, a correspondent of UNN reports.

As of today, we have evacuated about 5 thousand people from Zaporizhzhya NPP who are in the territory under our control.  Moreover, they all work for Energoatom today, and this is exactly the personnel that we plan to use to complete the units at Khmelnytsky NPP

- Galushchenko said.

He noted that since February of this year, russians have denied access to Ukrainian personnel to the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant.

That is, if our personnel used to be there, and in fact they were highly qualified people who maintained the security systems at the plant, today they have been replaced by Russians, who, by the way, have neither license nor knowledge, all this leads to the terrible state of affairs at ZNPP. That is, all the people who, for example, worked at the Zaporizhzhia plant and now, for example, they are not working but are  under occupation, they receive salaries, the only thing is that they cannot use them, they are accumulated simply on salary cards. Those who are on the government-controlled territory definitely have the opportunity to

- Galushchenko said.
