A truck and a minibus collide on the Kyiv-Chop highway: a child is among the victims

A Mercedes Sprinter and a GAZ truck collided on the Kyiv-Chop highway near Korostyshiv. Four people were injured in the accident, including a child born in 2008, and one woman had to be unblocked by rescuers.
A truck collided with a passenger minibus in Zhytomyr region, injuring 4 people, including a child, the regional police reported on Thursday, UNN reports.

The accident occurred on December 19 on the Kyiv-Chop highway near the town of Korostyshiv. Around 7:30 a.m., a Mercedes Sprinter minibus and a GAZ truck collided.
According to the State Emergency Service in the region, as a result of the collision between a truck and a minibus, a woman was pinned between the seats of the latter. Eight other passengers were helped out of the vehicle by eyewitnesses.
The rescuers unblocked the woman through the back door and handed her over to paramedics. In addition, rescuers applied a pressure bandage to the driver and transported two injured passengers to an ambulance.
Police investigative teams are working at the scene.
"As of 10:00 a.m., four victims are known, including a child born in 2008. They were taken to medical institutions," the police said.
The investigation is ongoing to establish the causes and circumstances of the incident.
