Petro Kotin, president of Energoatom, called the power outage at Zaporizhzhia NPP a step in the direction of the Fukushima accident. Since the beginning of the occupation, there have been eight power outages at the plant.

This is a step in the direction of the Fukushima accident. This is how Petro Kotin, President of Energoatom, commented on the blackout at Zaporizhzhia NPP, UNN reports.

At first, there was an external blackout, then they switched to diesel generators, and after the diesel generators failed, a nuclear and radiation accident actually began at the plant 

- said the head of Energoatom on the air of "We are Ukraine".

According to him, there have already been eight blackouts at ZNPP since the beginning of the occupation.
