The tragedy happened around six in the evening on November 19.
A military vehicle and a car driven by a journalist from one of Mykolaiv's media outlets collided on the highway near the village of Yefremivka, Novobuzka district.
The driver and a passenger, her husband, died in hospital from their injuries.
Criminal proceedings were opened under Part 2 of Article 415 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (violation of the rules of driving or operation of a combat, special or transport vehicle, which caused the death of the victim).
The sanction of the article provides for a sentence of up to 10 years in prison.
The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
