The 8-year-old prodigy Bodhana Sivanandan scored 8.5/13 points and won the women's category at the European Blitz Championship, taking 73rd place. She outperformed both grandmasters and her peers, further establishing her position as a British chess star.
The British prodigy Bodhana Sivanandan showed a sensational result at the European Blitz Championship, winning the prize for the best result among women. This is reported by the English Chess Federation, UNN reports.

In her penultimate round, Sivanandan defeated international master and England women's coach Lauryn D'Costa, who is more than 30 years older than her.
She also defeated Romanian chess player Irina Bulmaga, who admitted it on her X page.

Shivanandan took 73rd place in the overall standings of this weekend's tournament, ahead of several grandmasters and other recognized masters.
She scored 8.5/13 points and won the first prize among women. A total of 555 players took part in the event, including 48 grandmasters.
