The delegation representatives visited one of the most challenging locations in terms of the scope of work in the Darnytskyi district, which was damaged as a result of the Russian shelling.
The Head of the Service detailed to foreign partners the specifics of the rescuers' work during the elimination of the consequences of the enemy attack.
"During the rescue operations at this very location, we managed to save 17 people. Of these, 7 were extricated from under the rubble in extremely difficult conditions. Throughout the entire period of the full-scale war, we have never managed to save so many people from under the rubble at a single location. This became possible thanks to the rapid deployment of rescue units.
I also want to thank you for your support. Thanks to the support of the international community, which provided heavy engineering equipment, rescuers were able to carry out emergency rescue operations quickly and efficiently. On my own behalf, on behalf of the Service, and on behalf of the people of Ukraine, I express my sincere gratitude," said Andriy Danyk.
He also noted that the timely preparation of forces and resources allowed rescuers to promptly begin carrying out their tasks.
The visit took place with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, and the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
This attack by the Russian Federation was the most massive on the residential sector. At almost all locations where emergency rescue operations were ongoing, the enemy carried out repeated strikes, so SES specialists worked under extremely difficult conditions.
It is precisely thanks to the professionalism of rescuers and the support of international partners that dozens of lives are saved and the consequences of enemy strikes are promptly eliminated.
