Air defense forces destroyed 31 missiles and 636 drones during a massive shelling. Hits were recorded at 26 locations, the enemy drone attack continues.
Over the past day, Russia launched two waves of combined attacks on Ukraine with 44 missiles and 659 drones; 31 missiles, including 8 out of 19 ballistic missiles, and 636 drones were shot down or suppressed. Information regarding one cruise missile is being clarified, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported on Thursday, writes UNN.

According to the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, from 07:00 on April 15 to 07:00 on April 16, the enemy carried out two waves of combined attacks on the territory of Ukraine using ground-based, air-based missiles and attack drones.
In total, the radio-technical troops of the Air Force detected and tracked 703 air targets:
- 19 Iskander-M/S-400 ballistic missiles;
- 20 Kh-101 cruise missiles;
- 5 Iskander-K cruise missiles;
- 659 UAVs of the Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas types and other types of drones.
The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare and unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
According to preliminary data, as of 07:30, air defense shot down/suppressed 667 enemy targets: 19 Kh-101 cruise missiles; 8 Iskander-M/S-400 ballistic missiles; 4 Iskander-K cruise missiles; 636 Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas type UAVs and other types of drones. 12 missiles and 20 attack UAVs were recorded hitting 26 locations, as well as the fall of downed (fragments) at 25 locations.
