217 combat engagements in 24 hours at the frontline: where it's hottest and where the enemy is amassing forces

Over the last day, 217 combat engagements took place, with the largest number of attacks in the Pokrovsk sector - 57. The enemy launched 73 missile attacks, 17 air strikes and used 2,105 kamikaze drones.
217 combat engagements took place on the frontline yesterday, most of them in the Pokrovsk sector, where the enemy continues to amass forces for further attacks, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported in a summary as of 8 a.m. on December 26, UNN reports.
The situation at the front remains difficult. The enemy is using its superiority in manpower and equipment to attack our positions. Ukrainian defenders are steadfastly holding back the onslaught of the occupiers, taking actions aimed at stopping the enemy's offensive. According to the updated information, yesterday the enemy launched one missile attack on the positions of Ukrainian units and populated areas using 73 missiles, as well as 17 air strikes, dropping 35 KABs. In addition, it conducted over five thousand attacks, including 181 from multiple launch rocket systems and used 2,105 kamikaze drones to attack.
Over the past day, the missile forces and artillery of the Defense Forces hit an enemy command and control center and a UAV control center.
According to the General Staff, the situation in these areas is as follows:
In the Kharkiv sector, the enemy attacked our defenders' positions near Vovchansk three times.
In the Kupyansk sector, seven militants' attacks took place over the last day. Defense forces repelled enemy assaults near Dvorichna, Pishchane, Kolisnykivka and Lozova. The enemy is trying to realize its numerical superiority.
In the Lyman direction, the enemy attacked 26 times. They tried to break into our defense near Novoyehorivka, Kopanky, Zelenyi Hai, Makiivka, Terny, Yampolivka, Serebryansky forest and in the direction of Druzhelyubivka.
In the Siversky direction, the enemy conducted two offensives in the area of Bilohorivka.
In the Kramatorsk sector, the occupants attacked 11 times in the areas of Stupochky, Chasiv Yar and Bila Hora.
In the Toretsk sector, the enemy carried out 13 attacks near the localities of Toretsk, Diliyivka and Shcherbynivka.
At the Pokrovsk direction, our defenders stopped 57 aggressor's assault actions towards the settlements of Zelene Pole, Vozdvyzhenka, Myroliubivka, Promin, Lysivka, Dachenske, Pokrovsk, Novyi Trud, Zelene and Novotroitske. The enemy continues to amass forces for further attacks.
In the Kurakhove sector, the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 31 Russian attacks. Some positions of the defense forces were destroyed as a result of assault and enemy fire. The occupants were most actively trying to advance in the areas of Petropavlivka, Slovianka, Yasenove, Kurakhove, Andriivka and Dachne.
On the Vremivsky direction, the enemy launched 35 attacks on our positions in the areas of Kostyantynopolske, Yantarne, Kostyantynopol, Rozlyv, Velyka Novosilka, Novosilka, Blahodatne and Vremivka.
On the Gulyaypilsky direction near the village of Bilohirya, the enemy tried to break through our defense once.
At the Orikhivsky direction, the occupation forces stormed the positions of the Defense Forces twice near Novodanylivka.
Defense forces are making efforts to prevent the enemy from advancing deep into Ukrainian territory, successfully repelling three enemy offensives in the Prydniprovsky sector.
No signs of enemy offensive groups were detected in the Volyn and Polissia directions.
"Ukrainian defense forces continue the operation in Kursk region. Over the past day, Russian invaders made 440 attacks in the area. Ukrainian defenders repelled 26 assault actions of the invaders, one combat engagement is still pending," the General Staff reported.
Our soldiers, as noted, inflict significant losses in manpower and equipment on the occupation forces and actively undermine the enemy's offensive potential in the rear.
