Over the past day, 211 combat engagements took place, 50 of them in the Kursk sector. The enemy launched 6 missile and 34 air strikes, firing about 5,000 times.
211 combat engagements took place on the frontline yesterday, 50 - in the Kursk sector, the enemy was also active in the Pokrovsk and Vremivsk sectors, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported in a report as of 8 a.m. on December 21, UNN reports.

According to the updated information, yesterday the enemy launched six missile attacks on the positions of Ukrainian units and populated areas using 19 missiles, as well as 34 air strikes, and dropped 64 guided aerial bombs. In addition, it carried out about five thousand attacks, including 198 from multiple launch rocket systems, and used 2,230 kamikaze drones to attack.
Over the past day, sixteen attacks on the areas of concentration of enemy personnel and weapons were carried out by aviation, missile forces and artillery of the Defense Forces, and three UAV control points were destroyed.

In the Kharkiv sector, one combat engagement with Russian proxies took place in the vicinity of Vovchansk yesterday.
The number of combat engagements in the Kupyansk sector reached eleven over the last day. Defense forces repelled the occupants' attacks in the areas of Kucherivka, Sinkivka, Petropavlivka, Zahryzove and Lozova.
In the Lyman sector, our troops stopped 16 enemy attacks. The invaders concentrated their main efforts in the areas of Yampolivka, Terny, Novosergiyivka, Zelenyi Hai, Ivanivka, Torske, Hryhorivka and Serebryanskyi Forest.
In the Kramatorsk sector yesterday, Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled six enemy attempts to advance in the vicinity of Chasiv Yar.
The enemy tried to break into our defense 11 times in the Toretsk sector in the areas of Toretsk and Leonidivka.
46 attacks were repelled by our troops in the Pokrovsk sector over the last day. The enemy tried to advance near the settlements of Myroliubivka, Promin, Lysivka, Zelene, Novyi Trud, Dachanske, Vovkove, Pishchane, Novovasylivka, Novoyelizavetivka, Novooleksiyivka and Ukrainka. In addition, the invaders actively used attack and bombing aircraft.
The defense forces continue to hold back the enemy in the Kurakhove sector. Sontsivka, Stari Terny, Andriivka, Kurakhove, Dachne, Dalne, Kostiantynopolske and Kostiantynopil - here the occupants tried to break through Ukrainian defenses 24 times.
The occupiers attacked 36 times in the areas of Uspenivka, Dale, Yantarne, Rozlyv, Bohatyr, Velyka Novosilka, Makarivka, Novosilka, Novopil and Novodarivka in the Vremivsky direction.
On the Orikhivsky direction, our defenders successfully repelled one enemy attempt to advance in the area of Mala Tokmachka.
The enemy conducted air strikes in the Prydniprovsky sector yesterday, in addition, our troops repelled four attacks by Russian invaders.
In the Siversky and Huliaipilsky sectors, the enemy did not conduct any active operations since the beginning of the day.
The operational situation in the Volyn and Polissya sectors remained unchanged.
No signs of the formation of enemy offensive groups were detected. On the border with Chernihiv and Sumy regions, the enemy maintains a military presence and conducts reconnaissance activities.
