The bodies of 12 people have been found in an Indian restaurant in the ski resort of Gudauri. The preliminary cause of death is a generator running in a closed room during a power outage.
At the ski resort in the Georgian Gudauri killed 12 people. The tragedy was probably caused by the use of a generator during a blackout, UNN reports citing Ekho Kavkaza.
According to the Georgian Interior Ministry, the bodies of 12 people - one Georgian citizen and 11 other foreigners - were found in an Indian restaurant in a ski resort in Gudauri. They were in the sleeping area on the second floor of the restaurant. It is assumed that the deceased are employees of the establishment.
According to the police report, there were no external signs of violence on the bodies. At the same time, according to preliminary information of the investigation, a generator was installed in a closed room near the bedrooms. It is assumed that it was switched on the day before after the power was cut off in the restaurant.
Forensic experts are working on the site, witnesses are being questioned. A forensic medical examination has been appointed to establish the exact cause of the deaths. A criminal case has been opened under Article 116 of the Criminal Code of Georgia - "Causing death by negligence".
