Zelenskyy stated that a trilateral meeting could take place before autumn

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that after negotiations with the US, a trilateral meeting of Ukraine, the US, and the russian federation may take place. The President of Ukraine announced this during a press conference with Ireland's Prime Minister Micheál Martin, reports UNN.

The President said that the day before he had a long telephone conversation, during which the American side presented him with several ideas.

"As for the Americans - we discussed that there could be several ideas. I understand what these ideas are, which were briefly presented to me yesterday. It was a conversation. It was a long one, by phone, that is, without unnecessary details. I am receiving the relevant proposals. We will discuss them with the Americans," the President reported.

According to the President, after discussing the proposals, the American side will hold talks with the Russian side. 

"I will try to ensure we do this in the near future. Because after that, the Americans will communicate with the russians. Usually, over the past year, this has happened exactly in this format. After that, we will be able, if we understand that we have the opportunity to seriously discuss this plan - I think there will then be a trilateral meeting. Of course, all this needs to be done before autumn," Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated.

Reminder

The trilateral meeting of the delegations of Ukraine, the US, and the russian federation was postponed due to the war in the Middle East, but a conversation with the participation of American representatives will take place tomorrow.
