Zelenskyy met with Terekhov - discussed Kharkiv's needs under russian strikes

President Zelenskyy met with Kharkiv Mayor Terekhov. They discussed intergovernmental cooperation and the needs of the city community, which suffers daily from russian strikes.

On Sunday, July 12, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting with the Mayor of Kharkiv, Ihor Terekhov. They discussed cooperation between central, regional, and local authorities, as well as the key needs of communities and the prospects for implementing the decisions being prepared. This was reported by UNN citing Zelenskyy's post on Telegram.

"The challenges for the city are very serious — Kharkiv is under daily Russian terrorist attacks. It is important that in Kharkiv, despite this, there is necessary assistance to people and truly prompt work of city services,"
He added that Kharkiv's experience in supporting people could be extended to other cities and communities of Ukraine.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting with the Chairman of the Board of NJSC "Naftogaz of Ukraine" Serhiy Koretskyi and listened to his report. They discussed new challenges due to Russian strikes on the energy sector.
Also, the head of state listened to a report from the First Vice Prime Minister — Minister of Energy of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal. They discussed what exactly now requires new and more decisive steps to protect Ukrainian energy, as well as strategic infrastructure facilities throughout Ukraine.
In addition, the President of Ukraine held a meeting with the Minister of Internal Affairs Ihor Klymenko. During the meeting, urgent challenges that require a state response were discussed.
