President Zelenskyy congratulated France and President Macron on Bastille Day, expressing gratitude for France's unwavering support for Ukraine's struggle for freedom and peace in Europe.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy congratulated the French and the French president on the national holiday of Bastille Day, UNN reports, citing Zelenskyy's post on social network X.

"We congratulate France, President Emmanuel Macron and all the French people on the national holiday - Bastille Day. We appreciate France's leadership in defending freedom, equality and fraternity throughout history and today - in supporting Ukraine's struggle for freedom and long-term peace in Europe. Strong and united Europe," the President of Ukraine wrote.

Zelenskyy emphasized that Ukrainians will always be "grateful to France for its unwavering military, political and other assistance, which has saved thousands and thousands of lives for Ukraine. And above all, we are grateful for the determination of the French.

"I wish the French people peace, unity and prosperity. I am proud of our friendship and partnership," he said in a statement.
