Yermak reveals details of consultations with Trump's team before inauguration

Relationships take time to build, and it is good that consultations with the team of US President-elect Donald Trump are taking place even before Trump's inauguration. This makes it possible to start working on specific topics immediately after January 20, and the main one is to end the war. This was stated by the head of the Presidential Office, Andriy Yermak, in an interview with the Karpiak on Suspilne project, UNN reports.

Yermak noted that the visit of the Ukrainian delegation to the United States was an introductory meeting with the future Trump administration and the presentation of Ukraine's position. The head of the OP added that it took Ukraine a long time to build relations with Biden's team.

"It takes time, and it's good that these consultations are taking place before the inauguration (of Trump - ed.). This gives us an opportunity to start working on specific topics immediately after January 20, and the main topic is to end this war, but to end it on the terms of a just peace, on the terms of international law, and I believe that it is on Ukraine's terms," Yermak said.

Because, according to him,  all Ukraine needs is the restoration of international law, the restoration of territorial integrity.

"This is what we mean when we talk about a just peace," Yermak said.

On December 8 , it was reportedthat Yermak positively assessed the results of the Ukrainian delegation's meetings with members of the future administration of US President-elect Donald Trump. Yermak emphasized that representatives of the future administration demonstrated a deep understanding of the situation in the war between Russia and Ukraine.

Recently, in a commentary  to the New York Post, US President-elect Donald Trump, after meeting with Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Macron , saidthat he was formulating a concept for ending this war.

In an interview with Time magazine, which announced Trump as  Person of the Year on December 12, the US president-elect criticized the decision to allow Ukraine to strike deep into Russia with US missiles.

In an interview with Suspilne, published on December 12 , Yermak saidthat there is no peace plan for the team of US President-elect Donald Trump and that the Ukrainian side has not seen it.
