Russian troops have reduced the number of assaults near Chasovyi Yar, but are amassing forces and equipment.

The number of assault operations near the town of Chasiv Yar in Donetsk region has slightly decreased compared to previous weeks, but the enemy continues to deploy personnel, ammunition and equipment. This was stated by Nazar Voloshyn, a spokesman for the Khortytsia military unit, during a telethon on Thursday, UNN reports.

Details

"The enemy made two attempts to storm the area and tried to advance. Our defenders bravely repelled them. The day in that direction (Chasovyi Yar - ed.) was relatively calm compared to previous days and previous weeks. After such active assaults as last week, the enemy is not conducting active hostilities, but is pulling up personnel, ammunition and equipment. The enemy is using such tactics that if they pass through the Siversky Donets-Donbas canal... they are trying to accumulate in several groups in houses and basements, and then disperse and try to attack," Voloshyn said.

He noted that the enemy is using limited amounts of equipment near Chasovyi Yar, as it is difficult to set up crossings across the canal.

Recall

There were 203 combat engagements on the frontline, with the largest number of attacks in the Kurakhove sector - 49.
