Ukraine is getting closer to the EU: the level of accession to decisions has reached almost 100% - Ministry of Foreign Affairs

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has stated that Ukraine's level of accession to the EU's foreign policy decisions is high, which is an important criterion for negotiations. The opening of a new negotiation cluster is expected.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine states that the indicators of Ukraine's joining the EU's foreign policy statements and decisions are high, and this is one of the criteria in negotiations on future goals. The level of compatibility of Ukraine's foreign policy, as well as security and defense policy, with the relevant EU policies is unprecedentedly high.
The level of Ukraine's accession to the EU's foreign policy statements and decisions, which is one of the criteria in negotiations and accession, is 95% for 2024 and 100% for the first months of 2025.
Currently, the Ukrainian side is waiting for the official screening report of the European Commission and, accordingly, a decision to open negotiating cluster 6 "External Relations", the department reports.
Such a decision may be made after the opening of cluster 1 "Fundamentals", which should be opened first.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reminded that the chief negotiator of Ukraine with the EU is the Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine - Minister of Justice Olga Stefanishina. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine is the main coordinating institution on the Ukrainian side in the negotiation process under the 31st chapter "Foreign Policy and Security and Defense Policy".
