A US technical team will meet with Ukrainian officials in Saudi Arabia before discussions with the Russians. In case of progress, another meeting with the Ukrainian team is possible.
The US technical team intends to meet with Ukrainian officials on Sunday in Saudi Arabia ahead of discussions with the Russians on Monday. If progress is made with the Russian team, the American team may meet with the Ukrainian team again later on Monday. This was reported by CBS News White House correspondent Jennifer Jacobs, citing her own sources, reports UNN.

"During the Russian-Ukrainian ceasefire negotiations, the US technical team intends to meet with Ukrainian officials on Sunday in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, ahead of discussions with the Russians on Monday," Jacobs wrote in X.
She noted that US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and White House National Security Advisor Mike Waltz will not travel to Saudi Arabia for this series of negotiations.
"If progress is made with the Russian team in Riyadh, the US technical team may meet with the Ukrainian team again later on Monday as the Trump administration continues its shuttle diplomacy," Jacobs said.

Earlier, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that a meeting of the Ukrainian and US teams will take place on Monday. Saudi Arabia was chosen as the venue for the meeting.

Zelenskyy reported that during the meeting with the American team in Saudi Arabia, the Ukrainian team will be at a sufficiently high level, there will be technically professional people. Also, the Minister of Defense Rustem Umerov will be there separately.
