The Russian Defense Ministry announces the destruction of 42 Ukrainian drones over five regions. In the Oryol region, a hit on an oil depot is confirmed, where a fire broke out.
The Russian Defense Ministry announced an attack on five Russian regions on the night of December 22. The ministry claims to have shot down 42 drones. Meanwhile, the governor of the Oryol region confirmed the attack on the fuel and energy infrastructure. This is reported by UNN with reference to the post of the Ministry of Defense in Telegram.
The Russian Ministry of Defense stated that 42 Ukrainian drones were allegedly destroyed by air defense systems. 20 UAVs were allegedly shot down over the territory of the Oryol region, 8 UAVs over the Rostov and Bryansk regions, 5 over the Kursk region and one over the Kuban region.
According to the governor of the Oryol region, Andrey Klychkov, the main target of the strike was the fuel and energy infrastructure. The fire has already been extinguished. According to him, there were no casualties.
