The EU's security package for Ukraine includes nine key areas, such as assistance with military equipment, training of soldiers, cooperation with the defense industry, countering cyber threats, and intelligence sharing. Consultations on these commitments have begun between EU and Ukrainian officials.

EU security guarantees for Ukraine, on which the first round of consultations began the day before, include nine commitments from the European Union. These include, in particular, assistance with military equipment, training of Ukrainian soldiers and cooperation with the Ukrainian defense industry. Deputy Secretary General for for the Common Security and Defense Policy of the European External Action Service, Charles Fries during talks with the Ukrainian delegation headed by Deputy Minister of Defense Minister of Defense Yuriy Dzhyhyr presented the areas of long-term EU assistance.

As noted, the package for Ukraine includes nine priorities for future EU security commitments:

- assistance with military equipment and equipment;

- training of the Ukrainian military;

- cooperation with the Ukrainian defense industry;

- countering cyber and hybrid threats;

- assistance in demining;

- implementation of reforms related to the EU accession process;

- strengthening the ability to control weapons stockpiles

- support for nuclear security efforts;

- exchange of intelligence, including satellite imagery.
