Starting Thursday, July 4, the Zhytomyr City Council will start sending summonses to persons liable for military service by registered mail. Deputy Mayor Oleh Smal said this, according to Suspilne, UNN reports .

According to the official, the city council will do this in cooperation with the territorial center for recruitment and social support. He also explained that if the men refuse to receive the letter, the police will be called.

The territorial center for recruitment and social support, according to the order of the head of the TCC and SP, appealed to the city council to send these calls. They compile a list, pass the calls to us, and we send them by registered mail to persons liable for military service

The city council explained that a registered letter will be sent to persons liable for military service at the place of their registration. The summons specifies the period within which the person liable for military service must contact the recruitment center.

If after that the person liable for military service refuses to receive the letter of recommendation and does not appear at the recruiting center, the police are notified. Law enforcement officers search for the person liable for military service and bring him to the recruitment center. After that, an administrative report is drawn up against him or her in the amount of 17 thousand hryvnias

According to the official, there are currently 212 summonses that will be sent to persons liable for military service in the near future, but the number of summonses will increase.
