On Sunday morning, another power outage occurred in Vienna. It happened around 10:26 local time in some parts of the 19th district. The outages also affected areas in neighboring Klosterneuburg and Weidling, as well as in Weidlingbach.
Initially, the network operator Wiener Netze was unable to provide any information about the cause of the outage or its duration. The problem was finally resolved around 13:14. Wiener Netze stated that it was caused by a technical issue.

Only a few days ago, Klosterneuburg also experienced disruptions. "Everything is dark," said one of the victims, describing the situation. The reason was also called a "technical failure".
Last Friday, Vienna's 3rd district also suffered a massive power outage. About 600 households were affected. Wiener Netze was able to fix the problem in less than an hour.
