Russians plan to present a jet attack drone "Grom": what is known
Kyiv • UNN
Russia is developing the Grom strike UAV with a maximum payload of 2000 kg. It can carry guided missiles, but experts note possible design problems.
Russians are planning to present a jet strike drone that can act as a carrier of guided missiles. This was reported by Defence Express, UNN.
According to the publication, the strike jet drone looks like a project of a similar Tu-300 Korshun UAV, which was never implemented.
The maximum combat payload of the Grom UAV is stated at two thousand kilograms. The drone can be used as a carrier of guided aircraft missiles, including X-31 anti-radar missiles.
At the same time, Defence Express reminds that the developers of the Korshun UAV have not been able to solve the design problems with the suspension for attaching unguided aerial bombs.

Director of the Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise Oleksandr Ruvin confirmed the informationthat the enemy has started using new drones, which are probably intended to track air defense systems and collect information.
"We have information about new drones used by Russia. Cases of their use are currently isolated. It is known that they are visually very similar to Shahed-type kamikaze drones, but do not carry explosives. This probably means that, unlike strike UAVs, which carry out strikes, the new samples found are designed to track our air defense systems, collect information, and record damage as a result of missile and attack attacks by strike UAVs. More detailed information will be available after the relevant examinations are appointed and the objects are transferred for research," noted Ruvin.
