At an intersection in Odesa, a rescue vehicle collided with a truck. The drivers of both vehicles and a female pedestrian were injured, and all three were taken to the hospital with injuries.
In Odesa, around eight o'clock on Sunday, August 4, at the intersection of Troitska and Richelieu streets, a rescue vehicle was involved in an accident with a truck. A 28-year-old fire truck driver, a 40-year-old truck driver, and a 50-year-old woman were taken to the hospital with various injuries. This was reported by the Main Department of the National Police in Odesa region, UNN reports.

“Odesa police officers are working at the scene of a collision between a food truck and a rescue vehicle. The accident happened today, on July 4, at about eight o'clock at the intersection of Troitska and Rishelievska streets. The drivers of both vehicles and a woman standing on the roadside were injured. The investigative team for the investigation of traffic accidents of the Investigation Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Odesa Oblast found that the collision occurred when the rescuers were responding to a call with their siren and flashing lights on from Rishelievska Street at a red traffic light, and the driver of the food truck was responding from Troitska Street at a green light. As a result of the collision, the cars were thrown to the side of the road, where a pedestrian was standing at the time,” the statement said.
It is noted that as a result of the accident, a 28-year-old fire truck driver, a 40-year-old truck driver, and a 50-year-old woman were taken to the hospital with various injuries. They are being provided with medical care. The drivers will be tested for intoxication.
The police are establishing the full circumstances of the incident, after which it will be legally classified.
