Details
The animals were in a town near Maryanka in Donetsk Oblast. They were taken from Kurakhiv by animal activists and handed over to specialists in Kyiv. As noted, the servals were sick, exhausted and in a state of severe stress.
Two months passed and the first pair of servals moved to the next stage of rehabilitation and socialization in their own enclosure. For Osiris and Sekhmet's comfort, we have created all the conditions: an African tree with climbing frames and scratching posts, 2 hammocks and a cozy loft for rest, a fountain for refreshment, three types of soil and a stone rock for walking and jumping, and a bunch of different toys and pillows, because servals are cats
To bring the conditions even closer to natural ones, three types of lighting were installed in the enclosure: sunny-day, twilight-infrared, and night moonlight.
You can see the servals in the Kyiv Zoological Park of national importance. New residents are waiting in their new home on the Animal Island.
Recall
In early December, a storm flooded the zoo in the temporarily occupied Kherson region , killing some of the animals.
