The Republican-led US Senate has voted to begin debate on a multi-trillion dollar budget plan that aims to implement President Donald Trump's program. This is reported by UNN with reference to NBC News.

Details

The plan envisages a sharp reduction in taxes, increased spending on immigration enforcement and military needs, as well as spending cuts and an increase in the debt limit by $5 trillion. This is likely to significantly increase the budget deficit, the publication notes.

In particular, it is planned to allocate 175 billion dollars of new funds to ensure the operation of immigration services, as well as increase military spending by 150 billion dollars.

The plan was supported by 52 senators on Thursday, with 48 senators voting against. All Republicans voted for the plan, with the exception of Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky. At the same time, the Democrats unanimously voted against.

Supplement

US President Donald Trump said that the deployment of his mutual duties is "going very well" even despite the fall of the markets. In his opinion, the situation will be stabilized in the near future.
