Queen Camilla resumes public duties after suffering a respiratory infection. Her schedule will be adjusted to avoid unnecessary stress, including shortening the duration of events.
After suffering from a respiratory tract infection, Queen Camilla will return to public duties, albeit with some adjustments to the schedule, UNN reports with reference to the BBC.
Queen Camilla, 77, canceled a number of appointments last week on the advice of doctors to rest and skipped events over the weekend related to Remembrance Sunday.
She will be attending events in London this week, but for a shorter time than planned and will not attend the premiere of Gladiator II on Wednesday night.
There is reportedly no cause for concern, and the schedule is being adjusted to avoid unnecessary stress after her recovery. On Tuesday, she will attend a reception for the Booker Prize nominees at Clarence House, but meetings with guests will be reduced.
She will also attend a reception with the King on Wednesday in honor of the TV and film industry, but is not expected to attend the entire event.
According to the BBC, Queen Camilla's infection came less than a week after returning from a trip to Australia and Samoa with the King, with a brief stop in India on the way back.
Last week, Buckingham Palace announced her illness: "Her Majesty The Queen is currently unwell with a chest infection and has been advised by her doctors to take a short rest." The statement said she canceled her appointments "with great regret.
