Executive Director of the Economic Discussion Club Oleh Pendzyn told a journalist of UNN what to expect from the prices of eggs, milk and buckwheat in the coming months.

Pendzyn noted that the price of eggs will increase before the Easter holidays. Easter this year is April 20.

I think that (the price increase will be - ed.) approximately to the level that was before the New Year - 80-85 UAH per dozen. This is an ordinary egg, and a homemade one will be 110-115 UAH

- said Pendzyn.

Commenting on the cost of milk, he noted that the price of raw milk is now high.

"I think that when the first young grass appears, the prices for raw milk will go down, we will have an increase in raw milk, which will be reflected in the price after the Easter holidays. Before the Easter holidays, the price of milk will increase, and then we will see a stabilization of prices, maybe even a slight decrease," - said Pendzyn.

Regarding buckwheat, Pendzyn reminded that there was enough of it in 2024.

The main consumers of buckwheat in the country are children and pensioners. Who left our country as refugees - children and pensioners. That is, the domestic buckwheat market has narrowed. Therefore, there is enough buckwheat produced today. I think there will be enough of it and the price for it will not grow much

- Pendzyn believes.
