Ordered to behead fallen UAF soldiers – Russian commander in Zaporizhzhia suspected of crime

A Russian commander ordered the beheading of fallen soldiers of the 225th Regiment near Huliaipole. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has recorded another brutal war crime by the occupiers.

A commander of a Russian unit in the Huliaipole direction gave an order to desecrate the bodies of fallen Ukrainian soldiers from the 225th Separate Assault Regiment. This was reported by UNN with reference to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Details
On May 12 of this year, soldiers of the 225th Regiment were ambushed by an enemy group. During the battle, two Ukrainian soldiers were killed.
According to intelligence intercepts, a commander of a unit of the armed forces of the Russian Federation gave a direct order to desecrate the bodies of the fallen Ukrainian soldiers,
They added that the commander ordered to behead the fallen Ukrainians "for confirmation" and to place the heads in a prominent position at the edge of the field. Meanwhile, his subordinate expressed readiness to carry out such an order.
According to the General Staff, the unit whose servicemen committed such atrocities has already been identified. Furthermore, it is reported that the criminal order was given by a commander who had previously ordered the abuse of Ukrainian prisoners of war.
By desecrating the bodies of fallen soldiers, the occupiers have once again demonstrated their sadistic nature and excessive, performative cruelty. This is a gross, deliberate violation of the laws and customs of war—a war crime that has no statute of limitations. Such actions committed by the Russian occupiers are not isolated incidents.
