Host Yulia Zoriy shared stories about her Maine Coon cats Haymars and Solomon. She spoke about their personalities and their special relationship to her husband, Oleksii Reznikov.

On World Cat Day, the host of the morning news and entertainment program "Morning in the Big City" Yulia Zoriy showed her pets, Maine Coon cats Haymars and Solomon, and spoke about the cats' character and attitude towards her husband, former Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov, who has been heading defense programs at the Ukrainian Institute for the Future since April. Zorya told about this to the publication "Gordon", reports UNN.

Details

At the kennel, Hymars was named Quest, as he was an adventurer. And when he came to us, we noticed that his whiskers were trimmed. I immediately asked the breeder why they did it. To which I received the answer: "Yulia, it wasn't us! It's the mother cat who chews the whiskers of some kittens..." And she explained why, because we had been thinking for a long time. As it turned out, cats' whiskers are sensory organs that help them detect the slightest changes in the environment. And so, for the most restless and fearless kittens, the mother gnaws the whiskers, reducing the distance the kitten can run away and get into trouble. This is a protective reaction and action of the mother to protect the baby. Later we realized why she did this, because he was fearlessly climbing everywhere."

- Zorya said.

Zoriy also told us about her other cat, Solomon, who, according to her, will not put himself in danger again, but is very cunning.

He and Haymars have a common pastime: the kid climbs on the table, throws some food to Haymars, who quickly hides it, and then they happily eat it together. They work in a well-coordinated and precise manner. By the way, Solomon was born as the only cat to his parents, which is a rare occurrence. We decided not to change his name, because Solomon means "peace."

- Zoriy added.

The host also told us how the cats treat her husband Oleksiy.

The boys are very fond of Oleksiy. When he is home, discipline is at its highest level. When he's not, they make ropes out of me. In general, they are polite cats. They don't wake us up in the morning, they don't spoil things. They calmly wait for us to wake up, and then they immediately start demanding food, cuddles, and everything else

- the host noted.
