On the night of Monday, March 18, the Israeli Security Cabinet approved the departure of a delegation to Qatar for talks on a temporary truce in the Gaza Strip and the release of hostages. This was reported by The Times of Israel, according to UNN.

It is noted that the talks will take place in Doha, the capital of Qatar. The Israeli delegation, which received a general mandate to hold the talks, is headed by Mossad Director David Barnea.
The publication says that some issues related to the negotiations must be weighed and approved separately by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Galant.
It is also known that the negotiating team has asked for "a significant amount of time for the dialogue so that we can improve the agreement and propose a plan that can be supported."
