The United States and Russia have agreed on a timeline for the completion of the International Space Station. Russia plans to use the ISS until 2028, while NASA has extended its operation until 2030.

The United States and Russia have agreed on a timeline for the completion of the International Space Station (ISS). 

In order to avoid interruptions in the manned program, we have synchronized the estimated completion dates of the ISS, which we are discussing with our American colleagues

- Yuri Borisov, head of the state corporation ROSKOSMOS, told the Russian media.

The Russian Federation can use the ISS until 2028, while the “luxury space” industry does not rule out that the term will be extended. So far, NASA has extended the life of the ISS until 2030.
