The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine has put former MP Ruslan Demchak on the wanted list, suspected of abuse of office that caused grave consequences.

The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine has put former MP Ruslan Demchak on the wanted list, who is suspected of abuse of office that caused serious consequences. This was reported by the press service of the NABU, UNN reports.

The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine is looking for a suspect in criminal proceedings No. 52024000000000164 dated April 8, 2024, namely Ruslan Yevhenovych Demchak on suspicion of committing a crime under Part 2 of Art. 364 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (abuse of office that caused grave consequences - ed.)

For reference

From November 2014 to August 2019, Demchak was Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Financial Policy and Banking. He was a member of the Petro Poroshenko Bloc faction. He is a member of the European Solidarity party.

Last August, prosecutors from the Prosecutor General's Office reported that Demchak was suspected of aiding and abetting stock market manipulation and money laundering.

Recall

The former deputy defense minister, head of the Defense Ministry's Public Procurement Department, and the head of the Central Quality Control Department, who purchased low-quality ammunition for the military, will stand trial.
