More than 15 thousand consumers in 5 regions of Ukraine are without electricity due to Russian shelling

Consumers in Donetsk, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, Sumy and Chernihiv regions are without electricity supply as a result of hostile shelling. Donetsk and Kharkiv regions are the most affected.

As a result of hostile shelling, more than 15,000 consumers in five regions of Ukraine are without electricity. These are residents of Donetsk, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, Sumy and Chernihiv regions. This was reported on Wednesday by the Ministry of Energy, UNN reports.

As reported, 12.3 thousand subscribers in 16 settlements in Donetsk region were cut off from electricity supply as a result of hostile shelling over the past day. The power company reconnected 5.2 thousand subscribers in 12 settlements. As of the morning, 153 settlements with 94.5 thousand subscribers remain without power supply.  

In Zaporizhzhya region , 529 consumers were cut off from electricity due to the hostilities, and 433 consumers are still without power in the morning. In total, 4.1 thousand consumers are without power due to the hostilities.

In Sumy region, 1.6 thousand subscribers are reportedly without electricity as a result of shelling and air strikes from the Russian border. In total, 96 settlements - more than 11 thousand subscribers - remain without power supply.

In addition, medium-pressure steel gas pipelines were damaged by enemy strikes. A total of 433 customers were disconnected from gas supply.

 Also in Chernihiv region 1.2 thousand subscribers in 22 settlements are without electricity due to the hostilities. 

In addition, in Kharkiv region, as of Wednesday morning , 39.2 thousand subscribers were without power as a result of the fighting.
