The Ministry of Defense decided to conduct a comprehensive inspection of the Mykolaiv and Odesa TCCs due to complaints of beatings and illegal detention of people. The reform of the TCC is also being prepared.

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine on July 3 made a decision to inspect the Mykolaiv and Odesa TCCs (Territorial Recruitment Centers), which had previously received complaints related to suspicions of abuse and torture of people. This was reported by Deputy Minister of Defense Serhii Shkurakov, as reported by UNN.

The incidents involve the alleged illegal detention of mobilized individuals, beatings, humiliation, confiscation of phones, and other violations of rights.

A decision has been made to conduct a comprehensive inspection of these two regional territorial recruitment and social support centers

- noted the Deputy Minister.

Shkurakov clarified that such an inspection is already ongoing at the Uman TCC. Its head has been transferred to another position, and a special commission is currently analyzing all cases of human rights violations.

The official also added that preparations for the reform of the TCCs are currently underway. It will be presented to the Government in the near future.

The leadership of one of the district TCCs in the Mykolaiv region will stand trial for illegal detention and torture of a person. TCC employees held a father of many children in a basement for 9 days, using violence. The man suffered a concussion, a broken arm, and a rib.

Earlier, UNN reported that the Ternopil district and city TCC and SP have been holding people with mental disorders and disabilities for a long time. After the intervention of Dmytro Lubinets, five people were released.
