Electric vehicle manufacturer BYD reported a fire in a multi-story parking garage at a Shenzhen industrial park on Tuesday morning, UNN reports, citing Reuters.

The garage was a parking lot for "test and scrapped vehicles," and the fire was extinguished, the automaker said in a statement on Tuesday.
No casualties were reported, the company added.
BYD shares fell 0.6% at 02:08 GMT.
The local fire and rescue service reported the fire earlier.
The global headquarters of the electric vehicle company is located in Pingshan District, Shenzhen, a city in southern China.
The large fire caused thick black smoke to billow into the sky, and flames engulfed a long section of the multi-story building, with fire trucks and police dispatched to the scene, as user-generated videos reviewed and verified by Reuters showed.
According to experts, electric vehicles burn differently than internal combustion engine cars, with fires often lasting longer and being more difficult to extinguish because they tend to reignite.
