Made in Ukraine for the front - Zelenskyy outlined conditions for arms export

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Ukrainian defense companies should primarily direct their products to the needs of the front, and only after that export them to other countries. He said this in an interview broadcast during the telethon, UNN reports.

Details

According to the head of state, he supports the possibility of arms exports, but proposes a clear sequence: first, providing for the Ukrainian military, and then selling to partners. At the same time, priority should be given to countries that help Ukraine the most during the war.

Regarding exports, I am open to the following formula: first, please export everything to our front. And after that, to any of the partner countries. But the priority is the largest donor countries, countries that have helped us throughout the war.

- the head of state detailed.

Zelenskyy also noted that Ukrainian companies insist on the full opening of exports, but warned against risks. In particular, he stressed that taking technologies abroad could lead to Ukraine losing an important direction of the defense industry.

The head of state emphasized that the products of the Ukrainian military-industrial complex have already become a valuable brand "made in Ukraine." At the same time, its value is determined not only by financial indicators or technological solutions, but also by human losses.

This is a brand today, made in Ukraine, and expensive. I emphasize this many times to representatives of the private sector.

- emphasized the President of Ukraine.

Separately, the Ukrainian leader drew attention to the fact that operators working with this equipment are targets for the enemy, and this is also part of the price the country pays for the development of its own defense production.

Recall

In March 2026, it became known that Japan plans to purchase Ukrainian attack drones instead of Israeli ones. The countries are currently preparing an agreement on the exchange of technologies for weapons.
