Kyiv region held a dialogue between government and business in a new format as part of ReBuild Ukraine

At the ReBuild Ukraine exhibition, the Kyiv region delegation met with representatives of the state of Washington to discuss joint projects. The parties are working on an online platform for business cooperation between the two regions.

Within the framework of the 4th international exhibition and conference ReBuild Ukraine Construction & Energy, the delegation of Kyiv region met with American partners from the Washington State Department of Economics. Entrepreneurs from Kyiv region and representatives of American business were involved in the meeting within the framework of the Dialogue of Government and Business platform, UNN reports.

For more than a month now, the Kyiv Regional State Administration has been holding weekly meetings with entrepreneurs within the framework of the Dialogue between Government and Business platform, which was created at the initiative of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy. 

"On the sidelines of the conference, we also decided to discuss urgent issues and the implementation of joint mutually beneficial projects with American partners. 

We are already implementing an important project with the state of Washington. This is an online platform that allows business representatives, companies, and industries from the two regions to cooperate and sell their services and products. Today, we are working together to fill it with content," said Ruslan Kravchenko, head of the Kyiv RSA. 

Kyiv region is one of the five most economically developed regions of Ukraine in terms of economic potential. Despite the war, the region continues to see high business activity among small and medium-sized businesses. During 2023-2024, 22.4  thousand new business entities were registered in the region, and their total number has already exceeded 220 thousand. 

"The investment attractiveness of the Kyiv region is evidenced by the 3rd place in Ukraine in terms of capital investment and foreign direct investment. 

We are developing industrial parks to attract new investors. Kyiv region has one of the largest networks of 13 parks. Of these, 3 have been launched over the past year with a total investment of UAH 8.5 billion. They also discussed the issue of increasing export opportunities for Kyiv region producers. The volume of exports from Kyiv region amounted to more than USD 11.2 million. THE VOLUME OF EXPORTS FROM KYIV REGION AMOUNTED TO MORE THAN USD 11.2 MILLION. And we are already working together to increase the share of our exports to the United States," said Ruslan Kravchenko.  

During the conference, the region's delegation also discussed the possibility of attracting investment in the Kyiv region's economy with business representatives from France, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom.
