The President signed a law on new rules for the qualification exam for judges. Candidates must undergo a cognitive abilities test.
The Head of State, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, signed Law No. 11425-d, which amends the Law "On the Judiciary and the Status of Judges" regarding the peculiarities of passing the qualification exam. This is reported by UNN with reference to the card of the document.
According to the law, judges will have to pass the qualification exam through anonymous testing.
Anonymous testing will check cognitive abilities, as well as knowledge of the history of Ukrainian statehood, knowledge in the field of law and one or more specializations of the court at the choice.
The passing score of the cognitive ability test should be determined by the HQCJ.
This Law enters into force on the day following the day of its publication, except for the provisions on anonymous testing on the history of Ukrainian statehood, which will be put into effect one year after the publication of the Law.
