The President of Ukraine stated that partners should not watch without action when lives are destroyed. As a result of the Russian strike on Kyiv, 64 apartments were destroyed, 22 people died.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that it is important for partners not to simply stand by idly while human lives are being destroyed, but to increase pressure on Russia and force it to end the war. Zelenskyy wrote about this on Telegram, reports UNN.

"One of the sites of the Russian strike in Kyiv is an ordinary nine-story residential building. Due to the impact of one Russian missile, 64 apartments were destroyed. Debris removal is still ongoing at the site. All necessary services are working. Unfortunately, there are casualties. As of now, three deaths are known. My condolences to the families and loved ones. Seventeen people were rescued," Zelenskyy wrote.
He added that Russia again deliberately attacked ordinary peaceful people, ordinary civilian homes. In Kyiv, over 130 buildings were damaged in total.
"It is important that partners do not simply stand by idly while human lives are being destroyed. Pressure must be put on Russia and it must be forced to end this aggression. It is very important to continue supporting our air defense. New contributions to the PURL program, active cooperation to build our anti-ballistic defense – all of this is necessary to protect our people. Russia must not be left with any opportunity to continue this terror. I thank all partners who stand with our people and are ready to help," Zelenskyy added.

In Kyiv, the number of victims of the Russian strike on July 2 has increased . As of now, the deaths of 22 people have been confirmed, and the search and rescue operation is ongoing.
