The Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe unanimously adopted a resolution in support of Ukraine's recovery, calling for the establishment of an international compensation mechanism under the auspices of the Council of Europe to ensure full compensation for all damages caused by Russia's aggression against Ukraine.

Commenting on the adoption of the PACE resolution  "Support for the Restoration of Ukraine," the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk  noted that it is very important that all these principles that were voted for form the basis of national legislation and provide Ukraine with a full-fledged mechanism for compensation for all the damage caused by Russia. Stefanchuk said this in a comment to a journalist of UNN .

The main task I came here with is to encourage all our colleagues to vote in favor of supporting Ukraine in terms of reconstruction, in terms of creating a full-fledged compensation mechanism and completing our work at the parliamentary level and transferring it to the level of national parliaments.

- Stefanchuk said.

Therefore, according to him,  it is very important that the 46 countries represented voted unanimously.

This means that this is the unanimous position of all members of the Council of Europe and this position should be taken into account by the parliamentarians of all member states. Further, it is very important for us that all these principles that have been voted on today form the basis of national legislation and provide Ukraine with a full-fledged mechanism for compensation for all the damage that Russia has done to Ukraine.

 ," Stefanchuk said.

He expressed hope that all those things related to the compensation mechanism, the special tribunal,  justice that were voted for today will be implemented in the future in the decisions of the respective national parliaments and in the decisions of the  specialized international tribunal that will recognize the fact of Russian aggression against Ukraine.
