Details

"In the period from June 8 to 18, 2026, on the territory of the former village of Huta Pieniacka (now within the boundaries of the Pidkamin settlement territorial community of Zolochiv district, Lviv region), the Limited Liability Company 'Specialized Institution 'Volyn Antiquities' with the participation of Polish specialists – employees of the Institute of National Remembrance of the Republic of Poland – conducted research aimed at searching for the remains of the village's residents who tragically died in February 1944," the statement said.

The search operations, as noted, are being carried out in fulfillment of the agreements reached as a result of the activities of the Ukrainian-Polish Working Group on National Memory.
