From April 5, public transport routes will change in Kyiv on European Union Avenue due to the construction of the metro. The number of sections with a permitted speed of 80 km/h has also been reduced.

In Kyiv, from April 5, on European Union Avenue, public ground transport will run with changes due to construction work on the Kyiv Metro. This is reported by UNN with reference to the Kyiv City State Administration.

We remind you that from April 5, 2025 to April 5, 2026, traffic on the avenue will be closed due to the construction of the "green" metro line section from the "Syrets" station to the Vynohradar residential area with an electric depot in the Podilskyi district

In total, the changes will affect four routes:

  • temporary bus route No. 36TR "Northern St. - Chornobylska St.": Chornobylska St. - Ivana Vyhovskyi St. (on its own route), then European Union Ave. - Vasylia Poryka Ave. - Svobody Ave. - European Union Ave., then on its own route;
    • bus route No. 102 "Bratislava Cinema" - Vynohradar residential area": from the Bratislava Cinema to European Union Avenue (on its own route), then - Svobody Avenue - Heorhiya Gongadze Avenue - European Union Avenue (to Vasylia Poryka Avenue);
      • route taxi No. 455 "Smilianska St. - Svobody Ave.": from Smilianska St. to Ivana Vyhovskyi St. (on its own route), then European Union Ave. - Vasylia Poryka Ave. - Svobody Avenue (U-turn at the intersection with Svitlytskogo St.);
        • route taxi No. 465 "Svobody Ave. - Pivdennyi Railway Station": - from the Pivdennyi Railway Station to Ivana Vyhovskyi St. (on its own route), then European Union Ave. - Vasylia Poryka Ave. - Svobody Ave. (U-turn at the intersection with Svitlytskogo St.).

          As UNN wrote earlier, from April 5, the movement of transport and pedestrians on a part of European Union Avenue will be closed. This is due to the construction of the metro to Vynohradar.
