To help stray animals, it is worthwhile:
- place bowls of clean water in the shade near your home or other places where you have seen stray animals;
- leave food for the animals (wet food is preferable in hot weather);
- contact a veterinary clinic, animal welfare organizations, or volunteers if you notice that an animal needs medical attention.
To make pets feel better during the hot season:
- Plan your walks in the morning or in the evening;
- protect your pet's paws from hot asphalt before going outside;
- check the pet's temperature with your palm from time to time (if the animal is too hot, you should end the walk);
- avoid prolonged physical activity and always have enough water with you;
- create a cool place for your pet at home.
