In Pokrovsk, Donetsk region, residents evacuate mostly on their own due to the distance from the front line. The situation in neighboring towns, such as Selydove and Novohrodivka, is much more difficult due to constant shelling.

The city of Pokrovsk, Donetsk region, is a bit far from the front line, so local residents evacuate mostly on their own, unlike in Selydove and Novohrodivka. Pavel Dyachenko, head of the communications department of the National Police in Donetsk region, said this on one of the Ukrainian TV channels, according to UNN

People heed the calls for evacuation. However, Pokrovsk is a bit far from the front line. Therefore, people here evacuate either on their own, take their belongings, or leave by their own transport

- said Dyachenko.

According to him, unlike Pokrovsk, the situation in other towns in the area is very difficult, as the towns suffer from constant shelling by the occupiers. "There are settlements that are directly on the line of fire. These are Pokrovsky district, Myrnohrad, which has been under attack for three days in a row, Selydove, Novohrodivka. The situation there is extremely difficult," said Dyachenko.
