A riot broke out in penal colony #19 in the Volgograd region of Russia. Prisoners claiming to be members of ISIS took hostages, killed one FSIN officer and wounded several others.

The hostage-taking took place in a penal colony in the Volgograd region of Russia, according to Russian media and telegram channels, UNN reports.

According to SHOT, there was a riot in CF no. 19. 

It is reported that some of the convicts took the colony's employees hostage. At least one employee of the Russian Federal Penitentiary Service was killed and several others were wounded, Baza reports. 

According to Baza, four hostages have been taken in CF no. 19 in Russia. "Some of them may have already been killed," the report says.

"1 FSIN officer killed, three seriously wounded as a result of an attack by prisoners in the CF-19," SHOT writes, citing a source.

"In the footage distributed in telegram channels, the attackers claim to belong to ISIS," Astra notes.

According to preliminary data, according to Baza, the colony was seized by four people. Law enforcement officers are reportedly gathering at the colony building.

Also, SHOT reports, citing a source, that 45-year-old Andriy Devyatov, a member of CF-19, is preliminarily being held hostage by terrorists, as is the deputy head of CF-19.
