Harry Melling, known for his role as Dudley Dursley in the Harry Potter film series, will play one of the main roles in the English-language film "Butterfly Jam" by Russian director Kantemir Balagov. This is reported by Deadline, reports UNN.

It is noted that together with Harry Melling, the main roles will also be played by Barry Keoghan, known for his role in "Saltburn", and Ryle Keough, known for the film "Daisy Jones and The Six". Details of the characters remain secret.
The film is set against the backdrop of the Circassian community in New Jersey and tells the story of a teenager whose father and aunt run a poor cafe specializing in Circassian cuisine. When the boy is not helping in the restaurant, he trains to become a professional wrestler. After one of his father's flawed schemes goes awry, he is forced to take responsibility for his father's misdeeds as he faces violence that will force him to grow up faster than he would like.
According to the publication, "Butterfly Jam" is the English-language debut of the 33-year-old Russian director.
Deadline informed that the project is financed by AR Content of Oleksandr Rodnyansky, as well as Why Not Productions of Pascal Coshete, which produced "Emilia Perez", and Goodfellas, which is engaged in international sales, and UTA Independent Film Group - internal sales.
The film "Butterfly Jam" is expected to be presented at the Cannes Film Festival in 2026.
