Hamas released a second group of 17 hostages, including 13 Israelis and 4 Thais, who are now on their way to Israeli hospitals to be reunited with their families.
Last night, Hamas released the second group of hostages held in the Gaza Strip. This was reported by the press service of the Israeli Defense Forces, according to UNN.

It is noted that Hamas militants released 17 prisoners - 13 Israelis and 4 Thai citizens.

The Israeli army added that it welcomed the hostages' return home and was determined to return all the prisoners to their homeland.

Among those released was identified a 9-year-old citizen of Ireland and Israel, Emily Hand. This was confirmed by Irish Foreign Minister Michael Martin, who thanked Qatar, Egypt and the United States for their role in the agreement and called for the immediate release of all remaining hostages.
"After weeks of trauma, this is a precious and deeply moving moment for the Hand family," Martin said.

Hamas began to release the hostages on November 24. At that time, Israel agreed to release 39 Palestinian prisoners, including 24 women and 15 children, as part of an agreement with Hamas in exchange for the return of 13 Israelis.
