Starting from July 20, Ukrainians can receive interest-free loans for up to 10 years for the purchase and installation of solar and wind power plants with a capacity of up to 10 kilowatts, including storage systems, and condominiums and housing cooperatives can receive up to UAH 5 million at 7% per annum for up to 5 years to implement energy efficiency measures and install alternative energy sources.

The program of preferential lending for condominiums and housing cooperatives for the purchase and installation of alternative sources of electricity will start on July 20. This was announced by the First Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine - Minister of Economy of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko during a telethon, a correspondent of UNN reports.

"Starting from July 20, Ukrainians will have the opportunity to take out an interest-free loan, meaning that every citizen who wants to buy solar and wind power plants with a capacity of up to 10 kilowatts, together with storage systems, will be able to get a 0% loan. The state will fully compensate the interest rate and the loan term will be 10 years. Starting from July 20, the first state-owned banks, including Oschadbank, PrivatBank  and Ukrgasbank, will provide this program," Svyrydenko said.

According to her, the program "Affordable Loans 5-7-9" has also been expanded  at the request of condominiums.

"We have launched and expanded the opportunity for condominiums to implement energy efficiency measures and build alternative generation. In addition to condominiums, housing cooperatives will also have access. We are talking about the opportunity to get a loan of up to UAH 5 million for up to 5 years at 7% per annum. These funds will be used to buy and install solar panels, inverters, energy storage systems and other auxiliary equipment," Svyrydenko said.
